Nicknames

Sometimes I like to call my cat C.C. (as in Deville, of Poison) because every once in awhile she gets all crazy and acts like a goddamned fallen angel.

Checking In

It’s been so long. I’m itching to write here again. Is it possible that I’m sick of the Internet?

Hi, World!

Things I’m loving at the moment:

Things I am most certainly not loving:

  • stupid eye injuries (a corneal abrasion, to be specific)
  • being cooped up in the house in order to avoid bright lights
  • the runny nose I’ve had for weeks

Things I’m looking forward to in the near future:

  • D’s birthday dinner (one with his fam in NYC and the other with me in Philly)!
  • a visit with Megan, Nick and sweet baby Cora!
  • getting the Etsy shop up and running!
  • finishing Jean Madeline!
  • the beach! (and summer, in general)
  • other things!

I had to use exclamation points in those statements. They’re exciting!

Carry on, my friends.

Wowza! It’s Been Months!

Happy 2010, folks!

I started writing an entry just before the start of the new year but in true lazy-bones fashion, I never finished. Excuses, excuses, I know. But! I’ve got a busy schedule and I’m finding it hard to make time for myself, for the things I enjoy: reading, cooking, taking photos, BLOGGING, re-arranging furniture/organizing every nook and cranny of my house, having a social life. My schedule is so crammed that I’ve reached a point where I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed, anxious, and frustrated. I know it’s not necessarily a bad way to feel but it sure does make the day-to-day a bit challenging. Not having time to center myself and do the things that bliss me out makes me cranky and a little sad. Then I get all “WHATEVER, PEOPLE! GO AWAY! I CAN’T THINK STRAIGHT WHEN I KNOW I HAVE KITCHEN CABINETS TO RE-ORGANIZE!” or some dumb shit like that. Know what I’m saying, Internets?

So, yeah. That’s my life lately. And I’m really digging The Thermals, too.

I’m Here! Remember Me?

Oh hey, guys. It’s been a while. (Duh!)

Big post coming up. BIG, I tell ya. But not today. I’m too busy having a fun, lazy, no-pants-wearing, sprawl-on-the-couch-and-watch-old-episodes-of-LOST kind of day.

Summer rules.

It’s a Ghost Town ‘Round Here

Mostly because I’ve been too busy enjoying life …
